Giving...

1am

There is a story about the seven years of plenty during the Egyptians time under Joseph where they stored up a huge amount of harvest for seven years. These years were called the seven fat years because the following seven years were a time of scarcity and drought known as the seven skinny years. Imagine the people who stored nothing and just kept getting fatter and enjoying only the day, I would bet they felt a lot of remorse and regrets! This story should remind us to enjoy the fat years and to always keep the future in mind as-well. We should always think about our actions and never get greedy for the day because todays pleasures will soon be just a memory and tomorrow will be today. When we have plenty we tend to take it for granted and sometimes even expect it but we tend to learn the most when we end up in the skinny years! God has given us plenty and has also given us free-will which is one of his best gifts to us. Free-will is what seperates the good from the evil. Evil will always be filled with misery and try to pass that misery on to others but, the good are filled with light and the light can never be dimmed by darkness.

I try to always remember that those tempations from the fat years now give me the opportunity to overcome situations and increase my personal merits. We have our own ways of sharing with others, some may share with money while others share with laughter, songs, smiles, and love. Today is the perfect day to start making it a habit to share those gifts (yes, hugs are one of those gifts!) everyday unconditionally, without expecting anything in return. Unconditional love and giving is one of the best ways to living a great life here on this earth and in the next! Have a fun week, darlings! :D

p.s ~ And yes, it's raining again tonight, I am so ready to get wet! ;P

Lately, I’ve felt a bit confused, somewhat melancholy, and a bit lost and I have know idea why. It is a strange feeling because I am normally the opposite. Is it the weather? Is it my lack of direction? I don’t know why I’m like this, but I want to be happy... When I’m not feeling my normal self, I started to get down on myself and I realized I just need to trust my gut. So simple, yet so difficult sometimes. Whenever I go against what I feel is right, it almost always goes haywire. Things don’t go as smoothly. The decision I made becomes a struggle, and I always seem to have to work a little too hard to make it work.

So from here on out, I am going to make a conscious effort to trust what my gut tells me in terms of my life’s direction and have faith that’s it’s the only way. So, the question is how do I do this? I think I need to be still and quiet my mind. I must stop thinking of things that could happen and be present. It’s so easy to talk ourselves out of what feels right. I don’t think our brains are always right. I know this probably seems like total crazy talk, but I am going to experiment and see how it works. I’m not going to let anyone else or that little voice in my head convince me otherwise. Wish me luck... ((>.<))

I HearT Walt Disney!

We Dream, We Believe, We Dare and We Do! Just as Walt Disney never wavered from his four-pillared philosophy, history is replete with examples of great accomplishments derived from the same commitment. His four steps were simple;

1) Dream beyond the boundaries of today.
2) Believe in sound values.
3) Dare to make a difference.
4) And then just go out and do it; Dream, Believe, Dare, Do.

Sometimes I do ask myself, do I;
1) Wait and hope that something or someone will provide the motivation needed to act, or
2) Take control of my own dream and work to see it through.

Legend has it that Walt Disney explained his success this way:

I dream, I test my dreams against my beliefs. I dare to take risks, and I execute my vision to make those dreams come true.

I would love to make dream comes true.. And I would to make everyone's dream come true... So, I better believe it! ;)

Every time I enter the class.. A lil bit in me died!

At first glance, mathematics might not seem an obvious source of inspiration for a fashion designer. However Professor Sandy Black, from the London College of Fashion, explains that maths is at the very heart of the catwalk: "When somebody is designing and creating fashion to be worn on the body there's a constant movement between 2D and 3D, which is what fashion designers are doing all the time. For example pattern cutting is really quite technical and quite mathematical: it is actually a form of engineering." Anyways, I hate Maths, Add Maths and Physics... I really do...

Playing in the rain...

2.10am
"I took my iPod and went for a walk in Hyde Park today. About halfway through, it started to pour, so I put on a happy song, and just danced and jumped and laughed my life away. I was soaked, but I was happy." (April, Spring in London)

I found this little statement in my diary that was written during my stays in London last year. I just realized that I almost forget how much fun I had when I was there last year. Tonight, rain pours heavily here and without having much thought, I ran out and started soaking in the rain while everyone is sleeping. It wasn't just sprinkling, the rain was beating down on me. I was squealing, jumping and splashing. I was totally surrendered myself to the moment and lived it up.

I am just wondering, will it rain again tomorrow??

A Year's Gone Past...

It's hard to believe that the aughts, or the zeros, or whatever you want to call the first decade of the 21st century have come to an end. Time is just flying by! I realized that I have not put any pictures on here recently Having been professionally involved with computers for more than a decade, we remember the arrival of Y2K like it was yesterday. Today we'll be celebrating not just a new year but a new decade and I wish all of you the best for the 2010's.

Now I want to take the time now to thank all of my dearest friends during my hard times. I have been struggling to stay strong though I do from time to time let my tears fall in the pain of my loss. But it has been my nanny I have been thinking of so I stay strong for them. And it has been my dearest friends who have said the sweetest things. My friends online and offline have all been there for me every step of the way as we begin our healing process. Friends are the best people to have by your side when something like this happens and I truly hope that everyone has great friends like these.

Tears begin to fall as I think about my nanny and all of the wonderful things my friends have said to me. Thank you all so much for being here for me in my time of need and pain. You are all the best!

And also, a big thank to all my friends in London! It’s been an interesting year. And now, I’m at the end of the storm … the storm before the next calm. Last stretch of finishing with some clients. Finishing all the little details …. before I restart my real business.

I just wanted some virtual hugs from my friends …
